VERSE OF THE DAY:  Mark 4:10-12 "But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable.  And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that: ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.’”

This Scripture provides us with some important discipleship education. It is a misconception to believe that the kingdom of God with all of its principles and unsearchable riches of wisdom and knowledge is just handed to us without any effort on our own part. Jesus spoke in parables, knowing that everybody who heard him would not understand that it was then up to the listeners to seek understanding in order to gain the truth Jesus wanted to impart to them. Solomon, the king of wisdom, beckons us throughout his book of Proverbs. To seek wisdom to cry out for knowledge, to pursue understanding and discretion so we could know and understand the fear of the Lord. Jesus tells His disciples that He speaks in parables because it's not for everybody to understand. Those who are outside of the kingdom may see what's happening inside the kingdom, but they may not perceive what it's really all about. They might hear, but they may not understand what's going on with those Christians.

Jesus, on the other hand, leaves nobody out. Scripture is clear that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This means anybody who is willing to allow Christ to be their Lord can be saved and become a citizen of God's Kingdom. However, there are things in the kingdom that we will not understand unless we seek. It is through this relationship with Christ where we as His disciples seek for understanding and He teaches us the truth of His kingdom that the greatest treasures of Kingdom principles are developed into our character. This is why Jesus. Many times cried out saying,  " He who has an ear to hear, let him hear." Notice Jesus makes no apology for this method of discipleship. Notice He does not run after His disciples and say "no, no, no wait I'll explain it to you." He simply leaves it to us to seek after the truth of His Kingdom, yet He does promise that if you seek, you will find.

PRAYER: "Jesus, I ask you to open my hearts understanding to the things of your kingdom, Holy Spirit, I ask you to teach me the truth that is disclosed throughout the pages of holy Scripture. I do seek after knowledge and understanding of the unsearchable riches of your wisdom and grace and of the knowledge of your kingdom and I ask you Lord to give me greater understanding and the ability to discern the highest meaning of the truth of your word. I thank You for hearing my prayer in Jesus name amen."

VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING!  ~  Matthew 10:26 "Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known."
