VERSE OF THE DAY: ~1 Peter 2:4-12 "Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.  Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy."

There is a conflict in the heavenly realms that we must be both aware of and prepared for if we are going to make impact for the kingdom. This conflict as we can see or understand it, is the spiritual battle mentioned in Ephesians 6 also known as the conflict between light and darkness. We are not exempt from the rejection that Christ suffered and it helps us maintain a victorious mindset by keeping things in perspective. Most of us, when we are aware of the roots of this conflict, will have an easier time not giving place to the enemy. The world is going one direction and the kingdom of God another. When darkness is confronted with light there will almost always be an uncomfortable or sometimes even an oppositional reaction. Those that love darkness more than light will reject the light that lives in you. Don't take it personal.

The good news is this. God views those who will love Him despite the world's reaction and even separate themselves unto Him as precious, like a rare gem! We are His own special people chosen and called to royalty. That goes for anyone who hears and responds to the divine call to come out of the darkness and to walk in His marvelous light. Our past is washed away and we now bear the title "children of the Most High God" yes, once born again, we become His daughters and sons now despite whatever we were before allowing God to restore us to His created identity for each of us. So don't be ashamed or fearful to cast off the world and all its vices and enjoy walking in the honor of the holiness of the Most High.

PRAYER: "Thank You Father for setting us free from the old man and re-creating us as the new man in Christ Jesus. Thank You for empowering us to walk in the kingdom of Your marvelous light. Thank You for loving me and calling me into the Spiritual household of the people of God. In Jesus' name, amen."

VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING!  ~ Isaiah 51:7-8 “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, Nor be afraid of their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment, And the worm will eat them like wool; But My righteousness will be forever, And My salvation from generation to generation.”
