Feed On His Faithfulness

VERSE OF THE DAY: ~ Psalms 37:1-6 “Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.”

I guess this could paraphrase something like “Don’t think they are doing as good as they make it look, and definitely don’t be enticed by the pretty picture the life of sin draws. You really aren’t missing anything, and even the ones who really do enjoy the world’s way will have to give account in the end. So feast yourself on the Goodness of the Lord and make Him your desire. Set your heart towards your Creator for in knowing Him you will be filled as if you just left a feast. He is faithful and being in His presence is the most fulfilling place to be, and He doesn’t leave you with nasty side effects or disappointments like diseases or jail or debt if you trust Him God will see you through. And instead of waking up with a hangover or any other regrets you will find yourself at peace with the light of His hope to guide you and see you through”

Enjoy living for God today and allow Him to lead you into a future with hope and promise. Sure, there will still be tough times but not those that come from deception and lies as they steal your soul. They will be those purifying trials that make you a stronger and better person with depth of character and a heart full of true love. If you make God your true desire, you will see that we don’t have to wait to go to heaven to enjoy His blessings but you can see the goodness of heaven’s dominion in the here and now!

PRAYER: “Thank you Lord because Your thoughts toward me are always good and Your intentions for me are always to bring me into your likeness. You are the desire of my heart, and I seek the increase of Your presence in and through my life. Amen!”

VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING!  ~ 1 Chronicles 28:20 “And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God—my God—will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
