Then God Blessed Them

VERSE OF THE DAY: Genesis 1:26-29 ~ Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.”
Creation reveals so much about the heart of God and His good intentions for man, animal, and the earth! Throughout the creation account there are at least seven times when God refers to His work as “good”. He also blessed His creation at least three times in (Gen.1-2). Goodness and blessing have always been God’s intention for all creation from the beginning of time as we know it! All of the death and darkness in the history of the world has been a result of man’s unwillingness to seek and honor God in all we do. But there is good news! God has a people right now doing just that. I am believing that you are one of them.
Now, let’s draw our attention to the difference between man and the rest of creation. God made mankind in His image, we are created to be a reflection of His glory. We are made to bring the reign of His kingdom to the entire earth. God has empowered and honored us with a great privilege of increasing His kingdom throughout the earth. This task would have come naturally had man remained under the blessing, but God does not keep us as prisoners. The relation between God and man had to be one of mutual love and therefore we must always have the freedom to honor Him, or not to, as a matter of free choice. For those who choose, by faith in Him, God has given the stewardship, commission and the empowerment to see His Kingdom established and His goodness and blessing restored! This is the gospel (good news) of the Kingdom that Christ has redeemed us through His crucifixion and resurrection. This redemption comes with restoration and healing for all who would receive and walk in it, for the purpose of advancing His kingdom once again on earth.
PRAYER: “Thank You Lord God for the work of the cross which restores us with access to the goodness and blessing You intended for us by original design! Open my eyes to see, and enlarge my hearts understanding of what it means to be born of the Spirit, and redeemed by Your precious blood Jesus. Help me, guide me, lead me and teach me Holy Spirit how to walk in the fullness of Your calling for my life as I grow in my relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”
VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING! ~ Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
