Freely You Have Received

Matthew 10:7-8 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
In this verse and it’s surrounding text, we see the true heart of Jesus’ ministry on earth. Many have recognized the salvation message in terms of making heaven our eternal home. Yet, I wonder sometimes how many recognize Jesus’ mission of bringing heaven to earth? The theme of seeing Heaven’s divine authority established on earth is laced throughout scripture from Genesis through Revelation. Notice above that the scripture links the message of Heaven’s Kingdom being here with the manifestation of God’s desire to bring healing, cleansing, and deliverance to those who would receive.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” ~ Luke 12:32
Part of the master plan for bringing His Kingdom to earth has always been to use those who have received to share with others. This is what the scriptures refer to when stating that “whom he foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son…” (Ro 8:29 NKJV). God’s plan has always been to birth people into His kingdom, put His Spirit in them, and send them to share what good things God has done in them. We can only give what we have. That is the danger of building ministries without the foundation of being “born again” into His kingdom. Only those who have been born of God and who are led of God’s Spirit have the right to be called “the sons of God” (See Jn 1:12-13 & Ro 8:14). This is not something that some are chosen for and others are excluded from! The choice is entirely upon those who will or will not to receive. For those who truly receive Him things change, and they change for the better quickly!
Jesus healed, taught, and cast out evil spirits everywhere He went. This is still happening today through those who follow Him. He confirms His word with signs following. And, He gives of His Kingdom freely to all who call upon Him and receive. Yet he requires that those who receive freely would give freely.
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. ~ Revelation 22:17
