Far Above All Principality And Power

VERSE OF THE DAY:  ~ Ephesians 1:20-23 “which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”

The beginning word of our text ‘which’ refers to the working of God’s mighty power(vs19) by which He raised Christ from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places. Paul prays that the Ephesians would know the exceeding greatness of this power. I pray that we know and experience it as well. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father He rules and reigns with authority and power that exceeds every other, and this is always true in this age and in the ages to come. All things are under Jesus’ feet. He recaptured the churches dominion for us when He died and resurrected.

The church is the body of Christ. Can you grasp the full gravity of that statement? He overcame the world for us and the dominion of His kingdom in this world is advanced through the church. Contrary to the doctrine of some, we are not here to be subjugated but rather through love, wisdom and Spirit anointed power, we are here to continue the work of Christ. We are His body He is advancing His kingdom through you and I. All dominion, and every principality and power of darkness have been defeated and are under the feet of Jesus, and we, the church, are Christ’s body on earth. Hence, all darkness is under our feet as well!

PRAYER: “God help me to recognize and to walk in the fullness of what it means to be an heir of Your kingdom, to be Your son/daughter, and what it means to be a member in the body of Christ. Show me and bring me into the living experience of what it means to experience the effectual working of Your power as we advance Your kingdom in a world where You have already put all enemies under Your feet. Thank You Jesus for saving me and now I ask that You fulfill Your will through my life. Amen.”

VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING!  ~ Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
