How God Anointed Jesus

VERSE OF THE DAY: Acts 10:36-40 “The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all— that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly,
Here we have the gospel in a nutshell. Peace comes through Jesus Christ, the Lord of all. Jesus himself said that the peace He gives is not like the peace the world gives for He gives the peace that passes all understanding. What did Jesus do while He was here? Peter gives us an answer to that question, Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit and power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil! Jesus came to undo all the works of darkness.(see 1Jn 3:8) He came to deliver those who were in captivity to sin, sickness, and any other form of oppression. I believe that includes mental health disorders, addictions, insecurities and fears, injuries and hurts, betrayals and lies, and all of their effects. The good news of the gospel is, Jesus came to heal and to set you free from everything listed above and more.
Christianity is more than a set of morals or beliefs by which a person lives to be accepted into a group or a church. Christianity is a lifestyle of transformation, freedom, and deliverance that can only come through encountering Jesus Christ on a personal level. I’m talking about an encounter that transforms the human life, healing us and setting us free from all the strongholds of self will and darkness. Jesus Christ is the light of the world and He wants His light to shine in you! When Christ died on the cross, He paid the price for every sin that separated mankind from his Creator from the beginning of time until the return of Christ for the establishing of his kingdom! When Jesus Christ rose from the dead he made a statement to all the world for generations to come, that Jesus Christ has victory even over death and the grave. Now that’s good news!
PRAYER: “Lord, I thank You for dying on the cross and shedding Your blood to wash me clean of every sin in my life. Thank You for your stripes which purchased my healing. Thank You for delivering me from all manner of oppression that comes from darkness. Thank You for setting me free from myself. Thank You for giving me a new heart, a new mind, a new spirit and a new soul. Thank You Lord for Your resurrection and for the power of Holy Spirit working in and through my life, I receive everything You are and everything You’ve done for me. In Jesus name amen!”
VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING! ~ Matthew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
