“God’s Word Accomplishes What He Intends It To!”

VERSE OF THE DAY:  ~ Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

It was through God’s living word that the earth was formed and the universe created! His word is alive and powerful it accomplishes what He intends it to. The Bible is God’s written word (logos) it is written through divine inspiration from Holy Spirit. The spoken word (rhema) is the word spoken by God either directly or through prophetic utterance. Logos and rhema will not contradict one another for God is not double minded. In Isaiah’s prophecy we read that God’s word will and does always accomplish what He sends it forth to do. This is anchoring truth by which we can count on. Today we have a re-affirming truth for those of us who have, in one way or another, received words from God in our spirits and have not yet seen the fulfillment of that word. It will come to pass!

God’s word carries its own power and strength for fulfillment. In other words, God’s word carries within itself everything needed to bring the fruit of that word to maturity. We can find peace in this and spare ourselves the agony of fret that can come from second guessing the details. But remember to keep a listening ear for those times when the Lord speaks, giving us instructions that will bring His promises to pass. For example, Jesus healed a blind man, but for the man to receive the miracle he had to hear and obey Jesus’ directions to “go wash in the pool.”  When the man washed, he received his sight, God’s promise that “I am the LORD who heals you” was fulfilled in the (no longer) blind man’s life.

PRAYER: “Thank You Lord that Your word is an anchoring truth that we can always count on. I stand upon Your promise today that Your word will accomplish what You please and Your word will prosper in what You send it out to do.”
