Seek The Lord And His Strength

VERSE OF THE DAY: ~Psalms 105:1-5 “Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth”
We have much to be thankful for! When we call upon His name, we can declare the great works He does and has done. This is not an exercise in hype, nor does God need our accolades, but there is great faith inducing power in lifting our voices and declaring the handiwork of our creator. He is the creator of the universe who spoke the sun, the moon and every star into existence. He put the mountains and the seas into their place and like a master craftsman He shaped the landscape of our earth. Have you ever declared that aloud as you prayed? It was by His mouth the laws of gravity or physics were made and He set the borders of the land and seas. Yet, the scripture says that He wants to have an intimate relationship with you!
Remembering His marvelous works go beyond those things we see with our eyes. Remember the wonders and judgments of His mouth which are written in the Bible as well, this is important because we access by faith the reality of what we read in scripture. For example, scripture says that He ‘has’ delivered us from the power of darkness (Col1:13) yet we often are taught to pray for deliverance from temptation. See the conflict?
In this example we are asking God to do what He has already done, but the Psalm in our text says to thank Him for doing it. As you read through your Bible mark those things that the scripture says our Lord has done, and when you are praying or worshiping begin to thank Him for doing it. You can do this whether or not you have experienced the manifestation. When you or a loved one is sick you can thank God for healing you because Isaiah and Peter tell us that by His stripes we are healed, the symptoms are a lie because they exalt themselves against the truth of God’s word. The same goes for freedom from sin….! (see Romans 6)
PRAYER: “Father You are the one and only living God and beside You there is no savior! I love You God and thank you for the greatness of all that You are, You have spoken and the worlds were framed, and You hold all things under the very command of Your voice. You are my healer, my redeemer my savior and my Father who loves me and I love You with all my heart! I lift my voice to You today and I declare Your goodness, for You have conquered every force of darkness and set me free to worship You. You have released me from guilt and shame as You delivered me from every mistake I made when I once lived under the pretense of my worldly identity and You established me into Your kingdom, when You clothed me in Your righteousness and now You call me Your Son/daughter. Thank you God for loving me! Amen!”
VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING! ~ Isaiah 40:9 “O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”
