I Will Be Your God

VERSE OF THE DAY: Eze 36:26-30 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.
This is a promise of the gospel “Behold I make all things new!” It is the beauty of being born again, that God re-news us. Paul, the writer of 2 Corinthians says in chapter 5 that old things have passed away, behold all things have become new! Such a great gift Christ purchased for us at the cross that we can be crucified with Him and the old man (woman) of darkness is dead and a new creation is resurrected with Christ! We no longer need to feel bound by any doctrine that teaches us how to live with our iniquities or how to improve our “self” image. We no longer need to bear the titles or labels of the old person we were! We need only to have faith in the finished work of the cross and to receive the gifts of newness that the Lord paid for with His precious blood. We are now His daughters and sons born of God and heirs of His kingdom.
Our scripture for today tells us what comes with the package when a person receives the salvation of Christ. God gives us a new heart, the old one has been removed and replaced by a new one having His laws written on it. His Holy Spirit now lives in us and will cause us to walk in His statutes and keep His judgments. He has delivered us from all uncleanness! And if you look closely enough at the scripture you will see that the land we live in will be healed and bear much fruit for the entirety of Eden’s curses have been reversed at the Cross. God unashamedly calls us His people , and Himself our God! Just let that one sink in……
PRAYER: “Thank You Lord for the newness of life that You have given me. I receive my new heart and my new spirit, I choose to walk in the newness of life that you have provided for me. Help me to hear Your voice, and to be sensitive to Your guidance Holy Spirit. Heavenly Father I am not ashamed to let the world know that You are my God and I love You. Amen”
VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING! ~ Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
