He Himself Is Our Peace

VERSE OF THE DAY: ~Ephesians 2:13-18 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”
At the moment of Jesus’ death on the cross, Just after He cried out “it is finished” several phenomena occurred. The sky turned dark, the ground shook like an earthquake, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom and the wrath of God against the sinful nature of man was satisfied. Also, the wage for sin was paid in full. As a result of Christ’s death and resurrection, every human being was released from the curse of sin and death, the only separating factor between God and His creation has been in the response towards the declaration of the good news coupled with faith from the hearer to believe and walk in our new freedom.
The enmity that has been put to death, is the enmity that originated in Eden when the fall of man took place. Meaning that through Christ we now possess the ability to live peaceably with all creation, fellow man and with God. The veil has been removed, sin and death conquered, and the enemy of our souls has been defeated! The only thing separating man from his creator, his created value, and his created identity has historically been man’s unwillingness to believe and receive the good news of this gospel. We all by one Spirit have access to the Father through Jesus Christ and the finished work of the cross.
PRAYER: “Thank You Jesus for removing the separating veil that once came between me and You. Holy Spirit I ask that You continue to reveal truth to our hearts and to lead us closer to our Father in heaven. Impart faith into the hearts of those of us who would receive it so we would continue to grow in wisdom, power, peace, love and in knowing You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
VERSE FOR FEARLESS LIVING! ~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.'”
